Somatic Learning Session: Self Soothing

In this month's somatic session, we'll learn how to connect to the body through movement. Learn, practice, and build a little community!

About This Event

In this somatic skills learning session, you'll learn how to connect with your body through movement so that you can regulate emotions and move through anxiety.

In this session, we will be focusing on self-soothing through distress using the body.

Our agenda:

  • We will open with some deep breathing and grounding.

  • Summer will spend 15 - 20 minutes teaching the theoretical underpinnings of our techniques.

  • We will practice the somatic techniques as a group.

  • Q&A will open up

  • We will close with some final grounding.

This event will take place virtually. You do not need to turn your camera on in order to participate.

This event runs on a pay-what-you-can policy within a range. All are welcome.
