In this month's creative session, Summer will guide you through the Tree of Life exercise to help you make sense of your life, the impact of trauma, and your resilience and supports.
About This Event
In this creative expression session, Summer will guide you through creating a tree of life.
This creative exercise was developed to help children who experienced trauma to connect to their generational strengths and present-day supports while understanding the impact of what happened. It is a simple exercise accessible to anyone with some paper and basic art supplies - no need to be a talented artist!
Our agenda:
We will open with some deep breathing and grounding.
Summer will spend 5 - 10 minutes teaching the basics of this exercise
We will complete the Tree of Life together. You don't need to be a skilled artist - we will sketch simple parts of the tree (roots, trunk, branches, leaves).
Q&A will open up
We will close with some final grounding.
This event will take place virtually in a casual and conversation environment. You do not need to turn your camera on in order to participate (but please do if you feel comfortable!) and you can engage via chat with questions throughout the event.
This event runs on a pay-what-you-can policy within a range. All are welcome.
